Download your reporting pack

Open this in Talisk HQ

Your reporting pack is every statement in one document: the thing to send your bank, your business partner, or yourself at month end.

  1. Go to Ledger › Reports and open the Pack tab.
  2. Set the period with the picker, and choose Accrual or Cash.
  3. Optionally pick a comparison: vs Prior period or vs Prior year.
  4. Click Download PDF to read or send it, or Download Excel to work with the figures.

The pack holds, in order: a cover, your Profit and Loss, your Balance Sheet, your Cash Flow, and your Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable agings. The cover states the business, the period, the basis, the currency and when the pack was prepared, so a reader weeks later knows exactly what they are holding.

Every figure is the same one on the report screens for that period. Nothing is recalculated for the pack.

What the comparison adds

With a comparison chosen, the Profit and Loss and the Balance Sheet each gain a prior column plus the dollar and percent change. Where there is nothing to compare against, the percent shows a dash rather than a made-up number.

PDF or Excel

Both carry identical figures. The PDF is laid out to be read and sent. In Excel, every money figure is a real number, so you can sum a column or build your own view on top; each statement is its own sheet.

This is not the Year-End Pack

The Year-End Pack tab is a different thing, for your accountant: a zip holding the trial balance, general-ledger detail, the GST worksheets and every bill and invoice PDF for the year. That one is built to be imported and checked. The reporting pack is built to be read.

Good to know: The pack is a snapshot of your posted books for the period you pick, prepared at the moment you download it. It is not filed with anyone and is not a reviewed or audited statement. If you post something into the period after downloading, the pack you already have will not change; download a fresh one.
