Sign out of all your other devices

Open this in Talisk HQ

If you signed in on a computer that isn't yours, or you have lost a phone that was signed in, you can sign out everywhere except the device you are using now.

Sign out of your other devices

  1. Go to Settings and open the Account tab.
  2. Scroll to Signed-in Devices.
  3. Click Sign out other devices.
  4. TALISK_HQ asks you to confirm. Click Sign out other devices again.

TALISK_HQ says Every other device has been signed out. The next time any of those devices tries to do something, it lands on the sign-in screen and needs your password, and your two-factor code if you use one.

TALISK_HQ also stops sending those devices this account's notifications, so a lost phone stops putting your senders and subjects on its lock screen. One already on its way when you clicked can still arrive within the hour. If you sign back in on one of them, its notifications come back the next time you open TALISK_HQ there.

You stay signed in where you clicked the button, your notifications keep coming here, and your password does not change.

Under the button, Signed-in Devices also lists any desktop app sign-ins approved from your browser in the last 30 days, so you can spot one you do not recognise.

On a phone

  1. Tap More in the bottom bar.
  2. Under Security, find Signed-in Devices.
  3. Tap Sign out other devices, then confirm.

The phone you are holding stays signed in.

If your account is scheduled for deletion

While an account waits out its 7 days before deletion, signing in shows one screen. Sign out other devices is on it, so if you think someone else is in your account you can end their session without pressing Keep my account.

If someone might know your password

Signing other devices out does not lock anyone out who knows your password: they can simply sign in again. In that case change your password instead, from Change Password on the same page. Changing it signs every other device out as well and TALISK_HQ stops sending them notifications, and the old password stops working.

Turning on two-factor authentication also helps, because a password alone is then not enough to get in.

People you shared your books with

A bookkeeper or accountant you invited has their own sign-in, so this button does not affect them. To end their access, remove it from where you shared your books with them. If your books are run by a partner on their plan, the partner holds that access, not you; ask them, or move to your own plan.

How long a session lasts

A session that goes 14 days without being refreshed ends by itself, and TALISK_HQ asks you to sign in again on that device. Some everyday actions refresh it, so a device you use regularly can stay signed in longer. If you want a device signed out now, use the button above.

Good to know: Signing out of your other devices ends every session on this account except the one you are using, on phones, computers, browsers and the desktop app, and Talisk stops sending those devices this account's notifications. It does not change your password, so anyone who knows it can still sign back in; if you think someone does, change your password instead, which signs your other devices out too. A bookkeeper you invited has their own sign-in and is not signed out by this; remove their access where you shared your books. The control is in Settings on the web and desktop app, in More on a phone, and on the screen of an account scheduled for deletion. A session that goes 14 days without being refreshed ends on its own.
